Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking three to six months ahead for weddings and weekend dates, especially in spring and fall. Corporate events and private parties can often be booked with four to eight weeks of notice, and we are always happy to check last minute availability.
Do you bring your own sound system?
Yes. Sister Golden Hair The Band brings a professional sound system sized to your event and guest count. For theaters, festivals and venues with in house production, we work directly with your sound team.
Can you learn a special song for our wedding?
Yes. We love learning a special song for a first dance, a parent dance or a grand exit. Just let us know the song when you book so we have time to arrange it in our signature three part harmony.
What areas do you travel to?
We play all of Central Texas, including Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Round Rock, Georgetown, Wimberley and Dripping Springs. With notice, we travel anywhere for the right event.
How long do you play?
Most events include two to three hours of live music, typically performed as two or three sets with short breaks. We tailor the schedule to your event timeline, from a single cocktail hour set to a full evening of dancing.
